WooCommerce and Domain Context Router are optional. The source interface is English and a French catalogue is bundled for fr_FR sites.
Installation
Back up your WordPress database and installed plugin files. Keep the previous ZIP and test restoration before changing a live shop.
In the Novelience customer area, open Mes produits et licences (My products and licences). Download campaign-overlay-manager-1.2.1.zip (version 1.2.1) and compare its SHA-256 with the product page: c6a7ea454bde1a7fb87e32097f011af6ee7bdf5605dd5fc5a709dfd2ca98525e.
In WordPress, open Plugins › Add New › Upload Plugin, select the ZIP, and activate it. For an update, choose to replace the existing plugin in place; do not uninstall the old version first.
Check existing settings and run the product-specific checks below on your own theme, checkout and integrations.
Create campaign content in the WordPress block editor. Set a valid start and end time and choose the allowed contexts and page conditions.
Test a matching public page, an excluded page and the open/close controls on desktop and mobile. Check the session frequency limit and the scheduled boundary.
If Domain Context Router is present, verify its resolved context. Use wp_campaign_overlay_contexts and the selection filters for your own additional contexts.
Configuration
Create content in the block editor, set a valid schedule and choose contexts. Check public eligibility and excluded transactional pages with your theme.
Usage
Visit eligible and excluded pages, open and close the dialog, and check schedule boundaries, once-per-session frequency, mobile display and accessible labels.
Update and rollback
Replace the ZIP in place, then verify existing campaign content, schedules, targeting and dismissals. Keep a database backup and the prior ZIP. Roll back code only after checking campaigns written since that backup; do not restore an old database over new content without assessing the loss.
Limitations
- The overlay uses native HTML dialog and accessible labelling. The older-browser open fallback does not provide every native modal behavior.
- Cart, checkout, account, administration and signed-in requests are excluded by default when recognized. Test custom transaction and privacy pages in your site.
- Frequency is per browser session, not a durable user-level history. Blocking or clearing browser storage can alter repeated display.
- The plugin does not provide conversion measurement, consent management or a legal compliance guarantee.
