The withdrawal policy and durable lock components are included in the single direct ZIP. The plugin runs on your WordPress installation and does not require a Novelience activation key or hosted service. WordPress selects English or the bundled French translation from the site language.
Installation
Back up your WordPress database and installed plugin files. Keep the previous ZIP and test restoration before changing a live shop.
In the Novelience customer area, open Mes produits et licences (My products and licences). Download eu-withdrawal-for-woocommerce-1.2.7.zip (version 1.2.7) and compare its SHA-256 with the product page: 13fdf5e20ce1f17085a109b84cc5d6076ad8be1be832184be1d73be542b476fd.
In WordPress, open Plugins › Add New › Upload Plugin, select the ZIP, and activate it. For an update, choose to replace the existing plugin in place; do not uninstall the old version first.
Check existing settings and run the product-specific checks below on your own theme, checkout and integrations.
Activate WooCommerce first. Open WooCommerce › Withdrawal policies and create a policy with eligibility, a period and a start event. Assign it to each eligible product; an unassigned product stays ineligible.
Place a test order through classic checkout and another through Checkout Blocks. Confirm that each eligible order line retains the policy version active when the order was made.
Submit a partial request, approve or reject it as staff, and check the remaining quantity, decision history and customer notices. A rejected quantity becomes requestable again.
Configuration
Create and assign versioned policies in WooCommerce › Withdrawal policies. A product without a policy stays ineligible; an external start date needs an integration that supplies it.
Usage
- Customers request full or partial quantities from eligible order lines. Signed-in customers use My Account; a verified guest receipt may show the request form while its order key remains valid.
- Short, hashed, single-use form tokens, idempotency keys and durable locks protect repeat submissions and concurrent decisions. Staff decisions are recorded in a bounded audit trail.
- Requests and decisions can trigger acknowledgements through the shop’s mail transport. Verify mail delivery in your own installation.
- The plugin never issues a refund automatically. Any payment or refund action remains a separate staff or integration decision.
- Orders manually created without a checkout policy snapshot are ineligible. A policy using an external start date needs an integration that supplies that date.
Update and rollback
Keep the previous ZIP and a consistent backup. Replace the plugin in place, then verify policies, product assignments, older orders, requests and the audit history. Do not uninstall to update. A code rollback must be tested against the current database and old standalone components; restoring an old database can discard newer real orders and requests.
